happies

Ian gets his very own post very soon. He will be one in July — oh wait that’s Jude — I mean in October (that’s still kind of far off, right?). He is crawling like a champ and is amazed at his own sitting up. When he smiles, he has a dimple on each cheek, and his whole face crinkles. I have been calling him Sweety Petey. He is very long and very skinny, but he still has a bubbly rear. Love those bubbly rears!

Buddies. Claire is our neighbor, and Ike calls her his sister. They watched a movie together on the couch and talked like real thinking people. Every once in a while one would tell the other “I love you.”

Another happy is that Isaac told me the other day that he felt mean in his heart sometimes. Now. That may not sound like a happy, but it really is. He was confessing a bad feeling to me and recognizing it for what it was. He said that it usually happens when Jude takes things from him, and he doesn’t think God wants him to feel that way. We got to talk about what to do with those kinds of feelings, and I felt very unqualified, but God uses me nonetheless, which is also a Happy Thing.

Woa! Go Ike. You're such a good mama. I can't believe how much Ian has grown. I miss your kids so much!
