Merry Christmas from an airport bench. It's a step up from the Super 8 Motel I was at only half an hour ago. See, now doesn't a snuggly, ice-breath Christmas sound so wonderful in comparison?

Ohh, I have such wonderful memories of that old love shack. I don't have any warm gifts to send except warm words... I pray your beautiful, growing family has the most wonder-ous Christmas this year!
I love and miss you.

Hi Amber,
Merriest of Christmases! I am so happy that I participated in this project, not only because I love the idea...but because a gift that comes from the heart of a man deeply in love with his wife embodies the very spirit of why we celebrate Christmas. I pray that you are blessed by your letters, but more so by the love from which they sprung!

WOW! I think that we have all looked at our own husbands a little differently lately. Secretly hoping that ours was the one behind this great project. But, alas... you were the lucky one who's husband's love traveled all across this great land and took little tid bits with him only to give it all to you. I have to say, that this experience has not only been a gift to you personally, but to all mothers out there. I really enjoyed, and I am also honored to be a part of this. I pray for you, and all other mothers. That we may realize just how important we are to our families and friends. May God richly bless you and your family. Merry Christmas and Have a Blessed New Year.

The gift of children is so hard and so very, very sweet. my mom had "three under three" which sort of sounds like your situation, maybe..in a world of washing dishes in the sink, cloth diapers, and wives being pretty much in charge of kids, not husbands. she made it. I cannot wait to see what your reaction is about Seth's amazingly thoughtful and creative gift! I was honored to be a very small part of it. The stories are amazing...sad, happy, encouraging and show so much faith. I also look forward to perusuing your site now too!

Hi Amber. I didn't hear about the letter project until today so I didn't contribute. I'm a Mom of 4 wonderful grown kids, the youngest is 17, I grew up in Red Level, Alabama and live in Tennessee now.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and I hope that you enjoy the project your sweet husband worked so hard to put together for you. He is definitely a keeper!
Celebrate your life. Celebrate your husband. Celebrate your children. Celebrate the joy, the pain, the good, the bad. Celebrate the blessing of every day you have with them. Take time each day to let the reality of that blessing wash over you and then give thanks for every little bit of it. God has given you the ultimate gift in life: People who love you. People who need you and care about you. And on top of that, the gift of his son Jesus.
Blessings and wishes for a wonderful 2009 for you and yours.

What a wonderful blessing thinking and writing a letter has been for so many people. Didn't get around to sending it in (life got hectic as they say) but have been touched by those I read.

Thank you Seth for organizing and Amber for inspiring it!

Merry Christmas Amber. Your husband inspired me to come up with a money-free gift for my own husband. Okay, it's not as cool as what your hubby put together for you, but here goes. This coming year, I am giving up drinking fancy coffee at those fancy coffee places. You know, they cost like 4 dollars at least. I have been drinking at least 3 a week. We are taking that money and donating it to the charity of his choice. I typed all this up on a nice piece of paper, rolled it up with a bright ribbon and put it on the Christmas tree. He loved it. We also decided that the kids and I would "make" Christmas for someone else...and we were blessed beyond words by doing so.

I noticed how many other areas in my life I can cut out the excessiveness in, there are so many others that are in need that I can help. Seth opened my eyes a great deal.
Thank you, Danny *cough* I mean Seth for starting this. Our family actually "got" Christmas this year.

I know this Christmas will be filled with joy and amazement. I am looking forward to savoring your Christmas present all year. If we all prayed for each writer as we eagerly consume their letter, wonder what the Lord of Wonders would do? God bless you, sister, and may your family be well-watered as you have blessed so many. Merry Christmas, Amber! I hope you enjoy your gift! Your family's idea to exchange handmade gifts has inspired my family to do the same next year, and I hope I come up with an idea as wonderful as Seth has given to you.

This project has blessed me and I feel honored to have been a part of it.

Be blessed!

You must be one amazing wife for your hubby to want to show you how great you are. I've been there too...a mamma to a 3, 2, and 1 (but my last one was a girl...and for now...she's the last). Now they're 7, 5.5, and 3.5. It goes crazy fast. Keep on lovin' your babies. Those boys will be taller than you in a blink.

I can't wait to hear what your reaction to all of this is! I'm not yet a mom (come March I will be!) so I didn't participate in the letters. I know so many women did, I hope this is all published one day.

what a beautiful gift you've received and it brings tears to my eyes each time i think or read about this project. not only because you have such a loving and caring husband, but because it brought a world full of mothers together for a common cause.

we are a powerful group and we have so much in common. how much more wonderful the world would be if we all could remember that instead of using our differences to separate us.

merry Christmas amber. hope you loved your present as much as we all loved giving it to you.

Amber,
I have spent the last hour reading your blog, getting to know this woman whose husband loves her so very much, who stirred up all of the other mother hearts out there and let us participate in one very special Christmas gift. Can't wait to hear what you though about it, can't tell you how much it has meant to me.

Amber you are one lucky lady! Someone stated that you are probably overwhelmed... I think that is the perfect word. What an amazing gift to receive. What I love is that we got to be a part of it but we all were blessed by it which makes it that much more profound.

You wrote " May you have many small moments when God's goodness overwhelms you." This Christmas I was overwhelmed by Gods goodness through your family and the Mother Letter Project. Thank you to your husband and to you for sharing your Christmas gift. :)

P.S. I love your blog header.. so cute. :)
