Is that a Red Sox cap he's wearing? Do they allow that sort of thing in the deep south? :-)
Very sweet pictures!

Jo,

The real story is that I am a hard-core Atlanta Braves fan. However, last year, when they decided to relive the 90's with their pitching staff, I decided to boycott. I also passionately disdain the Yanks. So, in adopting a new team, I chose the enemy of my enemy. The whole situation was terribly pragmatic.

I still like grits.

You know what I love? The guitar face. It has no consciousness except to concentrate on the music.

"Amber is the color of Seth's energy," - that is SO good.

Look at your hot man, looking all hot and stuff. Wow. You guys are gorgeous people.

Plus, that is the man that sat behind me in Business Organizations class. Ask him if he remembers the way the prof said "status" like "STAY-TUS". Ack.

That is the man that married me to my husband. It's like kind of weird. And yet so cool.

We have those same mugs from our honeymoon!
Well, I'm sure they're not exactly the same, since that company makes mugs for seemingly everyone. But it's pretty much exact, except for the whole insignia part.
Adore the pictures.:]

He's a guitar player and he likes grits! That's one great combination.
My Seth bought himself a guitar after Christmas this year b/c we got our oldest son a guitar for Christmas. They are trying to learn together.

Oh, I participated in the S.W.A.K. Carnival if you want to read a bit about our story: Thursday Thanks Tank #74

my guitar face looks really stupid, i have to admit. in fact, my parents and friends laughed at me a lot as i was learning to play. I hope i don't look like that every time i am concentrating. Seth's look isn't embarrassing at least. Mine makes my face look even longer and more narrow, like my face is becoming a banana.

Baker. Whatever. It's easy to make fun of anyone's guitar (or any other instrument) face, but it's also very easy to admire. I think it's because it's too vulnerable, not purposeful, and actually raw - the rawness of concentration.

When I study, I can catch myself clicking my teeth to a rhythm. I don't know what that has to do with anything. It just seems like that's something about me that is underneath. A guitar face is some of that underneath stuff eeking to the top.
