fab1Look at that little button up there. She’s wearing a hat. Her doggy has on sunglasses. I mean, she is shamelessly fabulous. She can’t help her fabulosity.

I, on the other hand, have to try very, very hard and, on top of that, have to pay someone else to help me with the fabulous department, so that when people walk by, they might pause and think, I may have just almost passed something pretty close to fabulous. (That was a lot of commas).

I most certainly agree that Lisa from CrazyAdventuresinParenting has the utmost fabulosity, and were it not for her fabulousness, this little button wouldn’t mean so much to me. Lisa is one of those intentional sorts who knows how to LOVE Big. Seth and I got swept up in her love, and it must have covered a multitude of sins. She thinks my blog is fabulous. I feel like it’s awards day, and FINALLY! the odd girl with not-so-great grades gets to go up and shake somebody’s hand.

Now I get to pick ten fabulous blogs, giving you links to the ones deserving attention for being fabulous, and the fabulously chosen fabulous bloggers get to link back to me and then pick ten other fabulous blogs, linking to them. (I’m struggling with conciseness here). And they get a button, with which they can do anything they want. I put mine in the trophy section of my sidebar. If I had a button for Miss Congeniality from the 1993 Miss Patriot competition, I would post it as well.

Ethiopia Treasure Hunt – Cindy is genuine cool, the passionately driven Mama of one yet to be home Olly, and that’s fabulous.

Mylestones – This blog is fabulous for funny – just read her titles.

Copper2Gold – She has internet-adopted me, and that is fabulous.

Vitafamiliae – Lora Lynn is refreshingly straight forward, and above all, she’s from Alabama, and we unknowingly sang in All-State choir together. That is fabulous.

Shameless Bragging – Meredith, the mother of three girls, is altogether fabulous. She owns her voice.

See My Designs – Remember when I said I have to pay for my blog fabulosity? It’s all Shauna, Fabulous Designer Extrordinaire.

Big Whoop – Nicole’s honest writing and classic sense of style – truly fab.

Hold It Up to the Light – Among other things, Megan likes Rick and Bubba, and that’s fabulous.

The Extraordinary Ordinary – This blog is plain ol’ good to me, fabulously good.

A Cinnamon Nest – This is my favorite blog to read – ever. It’s so fabulous that I expect her to not mar her blog with a button. All she needs are words, and that is super fabulous.

Wow! I'm honored!!! Thanks for the shout out, friend!

BTW, I have issues with my blog address sometimes. You may have to put the http:// in front of it to get it to link!

Have a great weekend!!!

I also just want to say that there are other blogs that I love with all my heart, and awards with different titles will one day go to those even if I have to commission Shauna to make their cute little buttons, myself. I love the blog buttons. I can't help it.

I love me some Heather too! So much so in fact, I believe I've awarded her twice in the past LOL

You are so very sweet. You do my heart good. You and Seth have changed me, brought me back on track where I'd strayed from my 'norm', shown me the way.

And cue the tears.. dammit, no tears in the morning!!! (At least they're happy ones)

oh, amber, thanks so much.
you know that line you used to have about being "perpetually unfinished?" it rolls around in my head at least once a day and i think about you and words and your gift there and your carving out space for it. you knock me off my feet some days. i should say it more, and i'm sorry i don't, but it's true nonetheless. you're the real deal, and i'm glad to know you. thanks.

An award? For me? For real? Oh, I feel downright FABULOUS right now! Thanks a million for spreading the love. And for what it's worth, I pronounce you Poet Laureate of all Bloggyland, specializing in all things happy, heavenward and heartfelt. And I love that when given a choice to laugh or cry about the dog vs. boy pissin' contest, you choose to LAUGH. Yes, indeed, you are the fabuloustest of all, my dear!!
