God’s thunder tympanic, God’s thunder symphonic

I’m wordless here today, linking back to Lisa@Crazy AdventuresinParenting.

but I’m Word Girl here. Check out nwaMotherLode.

Psalm 29

1-2 Bravo, God, bravo! Gods and all angels shout, “Encore!”
   In awe before the glory,
in awe before God’s visible power.
   Stand at attention!
Dress your best to honor him!

3 God thunders across the waters,
Brilliant, his voice and his face, streaming brightness — God, across the flood waters.

4 God‘s thunder tympanic, God‘s thunder symphonic.

 5 God‘s thunder smashes cedars,
   God topples the northern cedars.

6 The mountain ranges skip like spring colts,
The high ridges jump like wild kid goats.

 7-8 God‘s thunder spits fire.
   God thunders, the wilderness quakes;
He makes the desert of Kadesh shake.

9 God‘s thunder sets the oak trees dancing
A wild dance, whirling; the pelting rain strips their branches.
We fall to our knees—we call out, “Glory!”

10 Above the floodwaters is God‘s throne
      from which his power flows,
from which he rules the world.

11 God makes his people strong.
   God gives his people peace.

We're praying it will soon be our home.:]
My husband had a job interview yesterday. Our travels were safe & sunny before running into snow on the way back, 20 miles from where we live.
Thanks for your prayers!

That is an incredible picture and I love the verses with it. What a fresh reminder of God's power.

Amber, I'm back online. Shh, don't tell. But it was with good reason--I wanted to read about how God makes the oak trees dance. And about how He gives His people peace and strength. And I must say, it made for a worthwhile surfin' break. Thanks for sharing!

Y'all isn't this good? I mean, even if you're not jesusy, this is kick-end poetry.

I do, however, believe it so much that my image of myself shrank by galaxies.

Brittney, someday you'll have to tell me where in Alabama.
Hamster, don't you love that line I used as my title? Dadgum.
Jane Anne, my cute husband took that pic. He's got a good eye.
Joanne, I have to turn this thing off now, too, but I do have to say that I've reread this passage all day, and like writing my love story, it further confirms the important things. No really. I have to get off the internets!

Someday can be today, if you'd like!
We've been following a wonderful church in Muscle Shoals, are looking for employment in Florence, and found an apartment in Tuscumbia.
It's fun to me how we could drive for 10 miles and go through 3 different towns.

Grace Life Church of the Shoals. It is on Avalon Avenue. I think it used to have a different name, though. I just don't know what it was.:]
How is UNA? My husband & I are still in unfinished undergrad programs and were thinking about going there if we wound up in Alabama. The job he interviewed for was actually at a public library a few blocks from campus!
We're praying for God's will, but I can't help but to want it, you know? I'll certainly keep you up-to-date.
And this may be a dumb question, but I don't think I am familiar with BSF?
