in appreciation of the first flower

first flowerMost of the flowers on this property were planted by Seth’s great grandma. This is 2009’s first flower.

imaginators

My big boys in the window seal with their bow and arrows (hangers) have some serious imaginations.

sunsetThis week I loved the winter setting-sun after a rain.

I’m posting a picture of us on Valentine’s Day to honor my girlfriend Windy from The Hall Family Page. She has been given new perspective this week, and it is changing my life. Her young husband needs your prayers. Windy has impressed on me to grab my camera (and my words and actions) and capture what I can of our love. She has caused me to ask the LORD to make it last. We only have this one life. Let’s love in it. *UPDATE* This picture was acting squirrelly so I deleted it. BOO.

If you’ve posted your happies or your gratitudes today, leave us a link in the comments so we can be happy and thankful with you.

The Lord put a song in my heart for the Halls today when I was praying for that He would be exactly what they need today. I have listened to it about 73 times today, and it becomes more and more powerful with each play.

Peace. Love. Hope. Cornerstone. Strength. Song. In Christ Alone.

The Lyrics and Song Link are posted on today's blog.

That was beautiful...I am headed over to Windy's page as soon as I leave here! I know I'll be praying along with you, from the tiny sneak peek you gave us.

Turns out, my post today is a HUGE praise post....that includes a video of all 3 of my kiddos. It's one I know I'll treasure forever. I am so thankful for all the love in my life, too! Thanks for the reminder!

I have leaves, but no flowers just yet. I can't wait. I love the spring. I love getting my hands into the earth and planting and impatiently waiting for my beauties to rise and for vegetation to bless us with beauty. I am nervous, though, for our new home, our new location, what we can and can't do here. Will our shady backyard grow? Will the horrible Louisiana heat kill off everything?

Today I talked about being grateful for the best mother's day present I ever received ...

My boys play bow and arrows with their hangers, too. Such smart kids we have. I love their imaginations, and everything they concoct. Makes me wish I had a video camera attached to my forehead, just to get every second down I can.

Off to see Windy's page :)

<3 you all

Those flowers are divine. We've still got a few more months to go before the daffodils squirm their way up through the snow. I say snow, because yes, it feels as if we will have snow from now until June. Which is why I got all giddy about seeing a picture of flowers!
