L.L. Barkat’s Stone Crossings: A Review

book cover

The toy zooms past my nose, and the little one questions my tears, “Mama? You sad?” and smiling, I hold my arms way up high: “No. I’m happy. My heart feels really, really big.”

He shrugs as if to know exactly what I mean, he in his beginning years of collecting treasure boxes full of stones, he at the beginning of his own narrative.

Wow! This sounds like a wonderful testimony to God's grace in her life! It is always encouraging & inspiring when others share what they have been through & what they have learned in the midst of it. Thank you for sharing about this book and praise God for His abundant mercy & grace! Sounds like something I would love to read!

Amber, I would love to be challenged by this book. I think we are on the same page! Isn't it amazing how 'uniquely similar' we women are? I love it!

I love books, and this one sounds like just the kind I need to be reading right now. It sounds challenging and good in a time when my faith in Christ is being tried... in ways I could only imagine only a little while ago!

Just read The Glass Castle which is an amazing book about childhood survival but left me somewhat empty because did not point the reader toward the Savior. This book sounds like it would do just that. Thanks for the recommendation.

Not only would I love to be blessed with a life changing experience hidden in the pages of a book...I'm thinking about gifting it for others this coming Christmas as well.

Thank you for sharing.

Maybe a book about another's struggles and storm would open something inside of me....

This could be my chance to win a book that sounds contemplative and challenging in my own walk with Christ. I appreciate your efforts in writing and sharing these rare finds with me. I rarely take the time to just read a book I've never heard of due to my time constraints, but when someone takes the time to do a review and share.....this is what
gets me interested......after all, if you took the time to read the book and share your enthusiasm, then I feel so much better about finding the time to step out and find the time, no "make" the time to read your recommendation. Again, that you for this opportunity to win a copy of Stone Crossings!
